Baidu, a Chinese search engine, has just announced a partnership with a number of top universities in the US to offer courses online for a relatively low fee.
Baidu’s partnership with Carnegie Mellon University and Harvard University, for example, will provide students with access to classes for free at one of the world’s top universities.
The partnership is expected to launch in the fall.
The announcement comes a few months after the university announced that it had secured a $1 billion investment from Alibaba Group to help it expand its offerings, which includes online education and training for students.
It’s a huge investment in the company’s efforts to compete with companies like Uber, which has been offering its services for free.
Biden also made a big splash in January when he signed an executive order that would allow all US states to provide online education for free, regardless of whether the state is in the union.
The order is also intended to help states like Ohio, which already offer free online education to students.
Baidui has been a supporter of education since it was first created back in 2008.
